Introduction You know things are going to happen when Jacqui Wood smiles at you and says, let's build a round house, not just any round house mind you, one based on an excavated round house from Black Patch in East Sussex. Some of you reading this will then ask yourself, What's the difference ?, well there is a big difference, the round house at Black Patch originated from the Bronze Age period and was actually constructed into the hillside.  Meaning that the walls of the building were not made up of the same height using just posts, but instead as the wall progressed around the house, the posts get shorter and the natural material from the hillside will reduce the height of the posts required, it means less building material is required around the back and a more sheltered house.  In the Black Patch house, it was assessed that the rear wall of the house was made from stone, probably flint.  So what's the recipe for constructing a round house of this type ?   a.    A large hole in the side of the hill b.    Wood of various length's, sizes and shapes c.    Thatch d.    A bunch of people who are either slightly insane or good for a laugh e.    A lot of patience Naturally, since the only person in the team having any experience or knowledge in constructing a round house is Jacqui Wood, (having built round houses since 1992) she took on the role of the Project Manager.  With her guidance and prodding, the project has started to take shape.......
