Trench  i has only partly been excavated and there is a very different type of activity going on in there. There are clay platforms seemingly contemporary with the Mesolithic platform in A/2. It is on the same level and dips down at the north edge in very much the same way that the platform in A/2 dips down on its south edge. Another thick deposit of green clay has been added to this and in two places it has been shaped into bowl like features that hold water. It is difficult to ascertain the purpose of these features, but hopefully this will become clearer when we take the baulks out between I and A/2.
