Potential roundhouses
Information from 2004
Wheat is located on the North East periphery of the Saveock Water Archaeology site.
The basic clearance in 2004 has
indicated some modern pottery(18th century), a resistivity survey carried
out
earlier in 2004 has revealed the potential presence of at least two
round houses, this confirms the indications by aerial photographs of a
round structure within the crop that was present at the time of the
image capture.
The resistivity and magnetometer survey's carried out in 2004 revealed some exciting results, the appearance of a potential ditch.
